The face of a man who has been to jail a time or two and knows how to thrive inside. The sheriff said, " Don't look so happy." as he took my picture. 22 hours of lock down per day for three days does something to a man that is nearly indescribable. I nearly became the animal that I was being treated as. There is a big flaw in he system. I wrote about it with a golf pencil on the back of legal documents, because that is the only outlet. no books or reading material, one hour a day to walk about and make phone calls. You can just barely see a swath of the sky that brings little light into a dark corner. Those of lower means are systematically losing their rights.
